The 8-Step Niche Info Marketing Process

~~~~~~~~~~
The 8-Step Niche Info Marketing Process
  • Find a passionate, responsive market
  • Generate a product idea that you think your market ALREADY WANTS
  • Test your product for “marketability”
  • Create your niche info product
  • Create your 1-page sales website
  • Drive traffic to your website
  • Test, track and tweak for continual improvement
Share successes, failures and lessons learned with the Denver Internet Mastermind Group
Step 1:  Finding a Passionate,Responsive Market
The Passionate people we want:
- are irrationally interested in things
- have disposable income (credit cards)
- speak their own “jargon”
- have their own magazines
- worship their own “heros” and celebrities
- go to their own conferences and events
- have their own “subculture”
- are identifiable and accessible
Step 2:  Generating Niche Product Ideas That
You Think Your Market ALREADY WANTS
- Generate ideas: Magazines, books, brainstorming, “hotpenning,”
educational courses, adult education courses, hobbies, other people’s
h
obbies, life problems, conferences, TV, trends, news, current affairs,
encyclopedia, wikipedia, phone book, dictionary, interview experts, etc, etc, etc.
-Surf the Internet:
Top-selling books and magazines
- www.Magazines.com
- www.MrMagazine.com
- www.Amazon.com
- www.ClickBank.com
Google
- Google Zeitgeist
- Google Sandbox
Yahoo
- Overture (pay per click search engine)
- Commission Junction
Adreporting
WordTracker
www.WordTracker.com
eBay
www.Download.com
Step 3: Testing Your Product for “Marketability”
Example:
EBook on “anxiety?”
Your Market Must Tell You YES to these questions …
~  Is your market interested in your potential product?
~  Is your market readily identifiable and reachable?
~  Will your market pay for your information?
Let’s start with Google
“anxiety”
55,900,000 organic listings
60 PPC Advertisers
Check out Google Pay Per Click Ads!!
You want:
~ 2 direct (PPC) competitors
~ 4 indirect competitors
“anxiety” is too broad
Check out Overture’s Keyword Selector Tool
http://www.Inventory.overture.com
Hmmm …
maybe “performance anxiety?”
797,000 “organic” listings
12 PPC Advertisers
BUT …
Are the PPC Advertisers any good??
Create a “Flycatcher Page”
- 1-Page website
- Promoted by Google Adwords
- States that you are thinking about creating an info product about ...
- If prospect were interested in an info product about that product,
   what would they want to know, please send you questions.
- Offer prospects a free product if they send you questions
- Run Google Adwords Ad maybe 1 week
- Response Indicates Interest in Your Product
Example:  Scrapbooking for Fun and Profit – Brett McFall
- ran google Ad 14 days
- received 30 questions on Flycatcher Page
- spent $14.67 on Pay Per Click ads
- decided to have product created by elance
Step 4: Creating Your Info Niche Product
- Make your own product (Yippeee!!)
- Joint Venture / Partner
- (www.BrookeAndCompany.com)
- (www.CalvinismCalmlyConsidered.com)
- www.elance.com
- www.RentACoder.com
- Info in Public Domain
- Affiliate Marketing
- Interview an expert
What’s BEST??
Maybe creating your OWN product - YOU get ALL the profit
(Yippeeeee, again!!)
example:
www.TeachYourParrotToTalk.com
Frank Kern?
$700 to have written by elance
$21,600 net profit a year
www.LabradorSecrets.com
Frank Kern
Generating $9600 profit a year
Roslind Gardner
Generating ??$$?? A Year
